A Message from the Principal

Welcome to W.E.B. DuBois Elementary School! A Proud World Language School At DuBois Elementary, we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and academically challenging environment for all students. As a World Language (Spanish) School, our students build strong language skills and cultural awareness that prepare them to succeed in a global society. We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. That’s why we’re proud to partner with organizations like Youth Guidance, Polished Pebbles, Girl Scouts, By the Hand Club, Girls in the Game, and the Altgeld Riverdale Coalition (ARC). These partnerships offer mentorship, leadership development, enrichment activities, and social-emotional learning opportunities that support the whole child. Family engagement is a vital part of our school’s success. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take active roles through the Local School Council (LSC) and the Parent Advisory Council (PAC). These groups help shape school priorities and strengthen our connection with families. At DuBois, we are building a strong community where students are empowered to lead, learn, and thrive. We invite you to discover what makes our school a unique environment for children to grow. Warm regards, Principal Kelly Flowers
