A Message from the Principal

EPIC Academy is a public charter high school located in South Chicago, committed to preparing students for postsecondary success through a rigorous college preparatory curriculum and meaningful real-world learning. Since its founding in 2009, EPIC has remained rooted in the belief that higher education is a pathway to joy, purpose, and expanded life opportunities. A hallmark of EPIC’s approach is its innovative Career Intensives program. Each semester concludes with a week-long, full-day course that introduces students to careers they may not have previously considered. These immersive experiences are co-designed with industry professionals and offer students hands-on exposure to high-demand fields. Past Intensives have included: Architecture with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) Marketing with Mintel Mentorship with Girls Inc. Chicago Structural Engineering with Woods Residential Inc. In addition to career-connected learning, EPIC proudly offers Advanced Placement courses, dynamic Fine Arts productions, and a growing roster of student voice clubs and athletics—all designed to ensure that every Legend is: An Explorer, Prepared for College & Career, and an Invested Community Leader.
