Welcome to Finkl Academy! As a vibrant neighborhood school, Finkl is dedicated to empowering every scholar through a rigorous, well-rounded core curriculum. As a fully implemented Skyline school since 2022, we deliver modern, culturally responsive learning experiences. Our commitment to academic excellence is reflected in our remarkable growth on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), where student proficiency rose from 32.7% in 2021 to 44.5% in 2025. At Finkl, we take immense pride in fostering an inclusive school culture where every student thrives. Our cluster programs offer rich therapeutic, STEM, and life-skills opportunities, including an Adaptive PE and physical therapy collaboration targeting IEP goals, music therapy, and student participation in Special Olympics and the Robotics4All coding program. Scholars gain hands-on social and financial experience running our revived cluster coffee shop small business. Inclusion reaches every corner of our community. Through collaboration across our music, art, and paraprofessional teams, cluster students actively participate in school-wide traditions like our annual talent show and Ravinia music presentations. Notably, our K–2 classroom was featured in the OSD Art Project, creating a permanent art installation displayed at the OSD office. Together with our families and community partners, Finkl Academy continues to raise the bar for academic growth, creative expression, and inclusive education.
