A Message from the Principal

A Message from the Principal

It is with great pride and deep gratitude to introduce myself as the principal of Taylor Elementary School. I am a proud life-long East Side resident, and I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead in the same school that invested in me as a young boy. I am a proud Taylor Elementary alumni, excited to collaborate with all parents, staff, and students to enrich, empower, and invest in our community together. Throughout my career, I’ve held various roles within elementary and high schools - 7th/8th grade Math Teacher, Dean of Students, Cultural and Climate Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. In each of these roles, I have worked relentlessly to ensure that all students receive an educational experience that promotes academic achievement and character development. My experiences have shaped me into a leader of integrity, collaboration, and self-reflection for continuous learning and improvement. I am highly organized, self-starting, and committed to engaging all stakeholders to create powerful professional learning systems that guarantee exceptional teaching and learning for all students. My commitment as the principal is to provide the highest quality of education possible in an engaging, safe, and positive learning environment for all students. Working collaboratively as a team with the school's hardworking staff and families, I commit to helping each student reach their fullest potential. I will work to ensure that all students, no matter their race, gender, abilities, socioeconomic status, or cultural background, have their perspectives heard and valued in order to provide equal access to all opportunities. It is my goal to give the entire Taylor Elementary School community my very best and to serve them as a neighbor and a leader.
