How the Program Works
Launched in September 2024, this internal asset redistribution platform serves as the District’s central hub for redistributing surplus office and classroom furniture, as well as essential school supplies.
By matching existing District inventory with real-time school needs and offering free delivery, the platform streamlines our operations and maximizes the lifecycle of our existing assets.
By prioritizing the reuse of quality items, we are actively helping schools reduce waste and ensuring that excellent resources stay right where they belong— supporting our classrooms and staff.
To date, the E-Marketplace is utilized consistently by 246 schools and has fulfilled over 600 orders. By redeploying over 800 pieces of furniture and supplies that would have otherwise been thrown away, the initiative has saved the District thousands of dollars in unnecessary purchasing and disposal costs.
