Pre-K Enrollment Process (SY22-23)

Children must be three or four years old, but not yet five years old, on or before September 1st, in order to be age eligible for a CPS preschool program. Enrollment in any CPS preschool program is subject to availability of space.

Once you have accepted an offer for placement in a CPS-managed preschool program, the school will communicate enrollment information. When you visit your chosen school to register your child, bring the following documents:

  • Proof of child’s age
  • Proof of current Chicago address
  • Health forms, including physical examination, immunization, and dental
